Description

The Slump Cone Set includes one cone, one base plate, and one tamping rod.

This test is performed by filling the slump cone with freshly mixed concrete in three layers, each layer being compacted with the steel tamping rod. After leveling the concrete flush with the top of the cone, the cone is carefully lifted away. The resulting slump—the measure of the concrete’s consistency—is immediately recorded.
